In October of 2019, the Michigan Mobility Institute was selected by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic-Opportunity Workforce Development to receive and manage grant funding through the Michigan Industry Cluster Approach 2.0 program.
This award provides funding for the Michigan Mobility Institute to lead activities on behalf of the Mobility On-Ramp Collaborative – an effort by some of Michigan’s most recognized mobility companies to address regional talent needs. Employer partners include Ford Motor Company, Bosch North America, Integral.io and May Mobility. Together, we are creating talent pipeline strategies to boost readiness for high-demand, high wage workforce positions in software development and data sciences.
The Mobility On-Ramp Collaborative is one of seven new collaboratives to receive funding from the State of Michigan in this program.
